根莖可藥用的射干 Belamcanda chinensis（L.）Redout

射干是園藝多採用的植物，對土質要求不高，只要有陽光，排水良好的山坡石縫隙間中生長。
植株可高至50厘米左右，葉形似劍，扁平互生。地下莖硬而短。射干可以用作蝴蝶食物。

為多年生草本，根狀莖為不規則的塊狀，斜伸，黃色或黃褐色; 鬚根多數，帶黃色莖直立，實心。可以用作蝴蝶食物。 鳶尾科植物葉片如同劍狀。

• The plant’s roots and stems are good for medical use.
• Suggest to be excavated in when new sprout just comes out or in late autumn when the stem and leaves die away.  Then remove soil, remove stem and fibrous root, half sundried, burnt off fibrous root and sun-dried again.
• The one collected in autumn is believed with better healing properties.
